Excellent Indian food restaurant with superb service! This restaurant is very elegant, with white table cloth, very delicate wine glasses, a mural on the walls of Sanskrit writing, music that enhances not distracts from the overall ambiance. We came to Sitar Indian Food Restaurant In Santa Cruz for dinner during the week on recommendations of a friend. We were not disappointed in either service or food. My friend ordered for us both: the trumpet mushrooms as a starter, together with the garlic naan. The mushrooms were succulent, crispy and delicious, the naan seemed to arrive straight out of the Tandoori, great flavor and nice portion size. For entree we had the Chicken Tikka Masala and the Lamb with Spinach. It was served with Basmati rice, and chapati bread. The food was superb, to say the least. The sauces were well seasoned and not overly spicy. The manager sent us a trio of excellent creme brulee as a dessert. The wine selections include wines from India and the manager, a certified somelier, is very helpful and he can easily pair the food to the correct beverage. All of the food was simply delicious, and I would recommend Sitar Indian Food Restaurant In Santa Cruz any time. |
